We're here to ​help inform dog owners like you, and we're always ​excited to share our journey. At Barley's, we're ​more than just a company. We're a community of ​dog lovers who want to make a difference in the ​world, one tail wag at a time.

Our journey

Our own adventure began in 2017, when we ventured into dog sports, with ​our pup, Barley. The connections that we made in this community guided us ​into learning more about dog health and nutrition. After doing some ​research on how to prolong our dog’s life, our curiosity with crafting the ​perfect recipe got the best of us and our golden paste was born. Our golden ​paste is the perfect blend of nutrients and wholesome ingredients that ​works wonders to maintain his agility. Barley, who is already 12 and a half, ​is now acting more youthful and energetic due to his daily intake of this ​remarkable product.

Our toothpaste journey started some years after this when we realized ​Barley needed several extractions. We learned the hard way that dog dental ​care is no joke! We started taking his oral health seriously by brushing his ​teeth daily. After using commercial toothpaste at first, we decided to ​develop our own recipe with wholesome ingredients that we could actually ​pronounce. Now our dogs Barley & Ellie line up for their daily toothbrushing ​sessions!

BARLEY’S TOOTHPASTE

Ingredients: organic coconut oil, baking soda, ​organic Ceylon cinnamon, organic mint, organic ​parsley, organic thyme, natural choice dehydrated ​beef bone broth, evoo oil (small amount for product ​consistency)

Net Weight: 2 oz

Instructions: Keep in cool place out of direct ​sunlight. Do not refrigerate. Place pea size amount ​on toothbrush and gently brush teeth.

Benefits of Ingredients:

Each ingredient has multiple benefits ​that are nutritious and good for dogs. ​Fresh mint leaves contain vitamins and ​trace minerals that play a role in ​balanced nutrition. It also promotes ​fresh breath and helps with digestion. ​Parley is high in Vitamin C and helps aid ​in detoxification. Coconut oil helps ​improve digestion and skin/coat in ​dogs. Small amounts of thyme can help ​with digestion in dogs and is ​considered a natural antibacterial. ​Ceylon Cinnamon is an anti-​inflammatory and helps boost the ​immune system. Baking soda is a great ​texture that helps create a paste like ​consistency to aid in the removal of ​plaque.

BARLEY’S GOLDEN PASTE

Ingredients: 2x RO water, organic turmeric, ​organic coconut oil, fresh ground black pepper, ​organic Ceylon cinnamon

4 oz , 8 oz or 16 oz net weight

Instructions: 1/8 teaspoon per 10 lbs twice per day. ​Keep refrigerated to extend shelf life. Note: ​ingesting golden paste may cause a urine like odor ​for some dogs. Ceylon cinnamon is included to ​help reduce this.

Coconut oil helps improve ​digestions and skin/coat in dogs. ​Ceylon Cinnamon is also an anti-​inflammatory that helps to boost the ​immune system. Black pepper not only ​includes small amounts of Vitamin K, ​Manganese and Iron, but it also helps ​with digestion and has anti-bacterial ​properties along with anti-​inflammatory properties. Black pepper ​helps with absorption of Curcumin.

BARLEY’S BELLY BOOST

Ingredients: Non-GMO pumpkin powder, 100% all ​natural dehydrated bone broth, ginger

Net Weight: 2 oz

Instructions: Can be used as a prebiotic. Use 1/4 ​tsp once daily as a food topper. For minor tummy ​troubles, mix 1 tsp with 2 tsp of water to create a ​paste. Repeat with half dose up to two times as ​needed. Consult your vet if issues don’t resolve ​after 24 hrs.

Pumpkin contains fiber, ​which is great for your dog's digestive ​health. Ginger is great for nausea and ​helps aid in upset stomach in dogs. In ​addition, it is also an anti-​inflammatory that helps alleviate joint ​pain. bone broth helps boost the immune ​system and improve digestive health.
